Teachers as Scholars is delighted to announce a special course offering for Summer 2025.
MAKING CREATIVITY A HABIT
A Two-Day Workshop: June 30 and July 1
Description: Do you long for more self-expression, art, and color in your life? Would you like creativity to become a habit, but you don’t know where to start? Do you doubt your artistic skills, or do you think you don’t have any artistic skills at all?
In this 2-day workshop, Katia Wish invites you to develop a new habit – a creativity habit – that you can bring back into your life.
Through a variety of quick, expressive, and fun exercises, you will explore different elements of art such as shape, color, space, form, line, value, and texture. We will use color pencils, markers, cut paper, watercolor, collage supplies and other materials. We will discuss what creativity means to us, obstacles and fears that we associate with creativity, and practical ways to overcome those fears and establish a new creativity habit.
Requirements: Curiosity, leaving your fear of art at the door, openness to the art of your 5-year-old self.
Cost: This special offering is not covered by regular TAS membership and is open to all, including non-teachers. The tuition is $340, paid by the participant or, where the opportunity exists, by the participant’s school. In the latter case, we will email an invoice to the appropriate person once you register. TAS will accept payment by a mailed check. Payment will secure your seat in your selected workshop. All but $40 of your tuition can be refunded with two weeks notice.
